Execution by Portwine

Say hello to my little friend. Sorry, ignore the Scarface reference. Say hello... to George Plantagenet aka Duke of Clarence. He's one of those figures, not so often remembered in history, thanks to his brother Kind Edward IV of England, and his even more famous brother Richard III of England.

Poor Dick (Richard III) is often seen as a villain in history, even voted once as the worst King of England, but many don't realise is that Dick was super loyal to his brother Edward, and a very good administrator, and to be honest, a good King for his short lived reign. However, hidden in the background was the rebellious, dishonest and certainly not loyal George.

In fact, George was so disloyal, parliament gave the okay to have him executed, but being a brother to the King, legend has it that he was offered the choice of execution method (a lucky fella, eh?), and he chose to be drowned in a vat of wine. Crazy right? In fact, it was more likely to have been portwine, than wine, just so you know.
